Useful Maths Websites

Parents and children often ask about websites that support children’s learning in maths, so the staff at Boynton have put their heads together to come up with a list of sites that we like to use in school. If any parents or children know of any great maths websites that we haven't put on here, please let us know so we can add them for others to use.

Why should I play maths games with my child?

Children make progress best as mathematicians when they regularly repeat skills and practise them until they become embedded.  This can be quite a long process sometimes, and so the use of the context of an exciting game or interesting activity can be highly motivating.  In our experience, our children learn best when they are having fun and that's what games are for!

 Mathletics

Children have access to math quizzes and challenges and can participate in a real-time networked competition known as 'Live Mathletics'.  Every child in KS2 at Boynton has an individual username   and password so contact the class teacher if you need a copy.
